Jason Gray was born on 2250, in California. He had been living with his father after his mother had passed away from a stroke. Living with his father gave him many precious traits which defines who he is now. His father was in the New California Republic, as a Corporal. By the time Jason became eighteen, his father was marked as "Killed in Action". This brought a lot of grief for Jason, but he endured it, living through the hardships of life. When he was younger, his father had taught him to shoot properly. After his father's death, Jason would practice his shooting everyday in memory of his father.
Jason had stayed in New Vegas for about a year and a half before leaving hand in hand with his new love, Cynthia, who he had met at New Vegas. Jason and Cynthia immediately made their way towards Nipton. At the time, they did not have enough money to build their own home, so they had left and looked for work. Eventually with enough money, they built a home, not far from the Strip. Jason and Cynthia both worked in a clinic, so they both had some medical training. After some time and decision, Jason and Cynthia had a child. It was a boy named Gus. After one year, little did Jason know that his life was about to turn into a living hell...
On one unfortunate morning, Legionnaires had invaded his home. They had abruptly kicked down his front door and seized everyone in the household. At the time, Jason was reading a book while his wife was cooking, and his child was playing with his toys by Jason. All of this happened so suddenly that Jason had no time to react. Within a few minutes, Jason was on the ground, pinned down by a Legionnaires boot, along with his son. His wife was seized by two Legionnaires, who were molesting her, followed by her being raped. They forced Jason and Gus to watch them as they rape her, by holding their eyes open. What vile monsters.... After they were done, they began to drag his wife and his son away. Jason attempted to reach for them, but to no avail as he was hit by the rear end of a weapon, rendering him unconscious. Moments later, he woke up to find his home ablaze. Out of all of his luck, he made it out. Without hesitation, he joined the New California Republic, in a vow of vengeance to destroy Caeser's Legion.

After joining the New California Republic, Jason was assigned to guard duty most of the time. On an evening, while he was on guard duty, a small child had collapsed near the front entrance of Camp France. Jason quickly left his post and ran to the small child and returned her to the base. Jason found out this small child was a little girl named, Stephanie Alexander. Jason noticed that she had the symptoms of dehydration, and thus, he poured water into her mouth. Moments later, she awoken yelling, "Mommy". Jason finds out Stephanie had been running away ever since she heard her mother shot by a small band of raiders. Jason treated her like he was his own child. Sadly, within a few days, Jason and her went exploring because she wanted to. They stood on the hill overlooking the lake, and noticed a dog wandering around the lake. Stephanie foolishly slid down the hell with Jason right behind her. As soon as she went to greet it, the dog jumped her, piercing her neck with its long teeth. Jason idiotically kick the dog off, causing her neck to tear open. Jason ended the dog with a bullet to its head, and the burial of his beloved "daughter". Grief struck him hard.
Months later, while Jason was off duty, he had visited Lakeview. Upon arriving, Lewis greeted him and brought to the Apothecary of Claw's little house. Inside was a little girl resting on the bed. Jason finds out her name is also Stephanie. Was life giving him another chance? Jason was hesitant to adopt her, but Lewis insisted. In the end, Jason went back to base with her. Jason quickly found out she was not the same as Stephanie Alexander. Stephanie Gray was a hardened little girl, whose life was always on the brink of death. Did Stephanie Gray actually love his father? Who knows... Stephanie claims she does, but her actions prove otherwise. Jason was constantly have problems with his daughter, even being insulted by her. Despite all the pain she had given him, Jason still loves her.
